Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca  and @Elisa  and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

Here's a run down on the different boards that we have:

✨ Ask about your listing - You can ask other Hosts to critique your listing, you could be pleasantly surprised at what other people see!

✨ Advice on your space - This is great for general questions about your space specifically, for example, the amenities that you have at the property to what types of sheets that you use.

✨ Help with your business - You can ask those nitty gritty questions about taxes, payouts and more in this section. 

✨ Support with your bookings - Ask for support from Hosts who have mastered the art of hospitality - from reviews, communicating with guests to cancellations.

Hi Folks I'm J Scott here originally from New Jersey now residing in Johnsburg in the Adirondack mountains of New York State USA.  We live in a 6 million acre park and I love this place and all the nature around us.

I have been hosting for 5 years and managing others listings for 4 years. Its been a fun adventure. I cohost for 3 owners and host for my own listing. I also provide full maintenance and repair services. Looking for a few more to manage.  Joining the Cohost community is a natural next step. 

I love travel and meeting new people. I particularly love SE Asia. I have stayed in Airbnbs all over the world in the last 12 years. Looking forward to learning from folks all over.  Cheers.

Greetings from the Perth Hills area of Western Australia 🙌 

I host a cabin on the edge of the Darling Scarp within strolling distance to John Forrest National Park walking trails and other areas of significant beauty. City and skyline views from our pool deck make it a lovely unique stay in this area.  I really do love hosting guests and making them feel special....  one of the things I've always wanted to do is run a guest house/BnB but didn't get the opportunity until AirBnB existed 👏

How long have you been on your Airbnb journey so far? It sounds like a wonderful place to host. Are you just coming into your peak season in Australia now?

thankyou so much, I feel very welcome here 🙂

I've been an Airbnb host for nearly a whole month ha ha so very early days for me. 

If you come to the cabin to hike and explore the surrounding area then peak season is probably slowing down now as we head into December, as it soon becomes too hot to hike safely when temperatures climb into the high 30's and 40's.

If you come to the cabin for a get away and swim then we will be coming into peak season as it gets hotter as the cabin is fully air conditioned and our pool is lovely with panoramic views to Perth city and the northern coastal plain. So something for everyone really I think.
