Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Hi everyone, I'm Jarard. I'm living near Brisbane in Australia. I'm quite excited to become a host!
I just joined and posted. And I think there are still more rooms to enhance my post.
Whenever I have a question, I will come to here.
Thanks.
Hello @Jarard0,

All the best,
Hello, Bhumika. Thank you for contacting us. I am originally from California, and my wife is from Kyrgyzstan. We just recently started an AirBnB listing in St. Augustine, Florida. It is a beautiful place for vacations, with gorgeous beaches, a historic district (oldest city in America), incredible boating & fishing, and so much more to see and do. Now that we live here, it's like being on a vacation every day!
Hello @Bryon48
That sounds very exciting! Are you planning to stay there while hosting, do you rent out a room in your house?
Please keep us posted!
Paula, we are living near the rental property, which is an entire house. We plan to stay here, yes.
Hello! I'm @Tonja22 . I live in Lubbock, Texas. I have a degree in art and a passion for all things creative! While Lubbock may seem like a dusty, west Texas town, we have a thriving art, music, wine and craft beer culture. I was fortunate enough to work for a major art center here for 7 years. During that time I inherited a fledgling Art Trail program that welcomed about 100 visitors monthly. I am happy to report that this little Art Trail has grown to a monthly attendance of over 10,000 visitors and has put Lubbock on the map as an arts destination. I currently work for the Texas Tech School of Art as an academic recruiter, am a freelance decorator and a commercial photographer. My wife and I purchased our Airbnb and spent 9 months remodeling it ourselves. We love hosting and giving our guests a home away from home experience.
Thank you so much for your lovely introduction, @Tonja22, and welcome to the Airbnb Community Center! 😊
Are there any specific aspects of hosting that you’re particularly passionate about?
Please keep us posted!
Hi I'm Annette Mahood from Martinez, CA. My husband and I are just starting out our Airbnb. We are hoping this helps bring in some extra income to help with retirement. We also love meeting new people. Looking forward to what this project does for us.

All the best,
Hi, I'm Louise and live in Whanganui, New Zealand. We run a Mountain Bike Park and have just completed building our glamping site, which includes 3 geodesic domes. I have a background in healthcare and business support so setting up this space for visitors to stay and also attend our wellness retreats was an easy solution.
I enjoy hiking, food and spend my time looking after our visitors, nurturing our orchards and regenerating native forrest. Our land is located next to the Whanganui River so we participate in all sorts of outdoor activities.
Hello @Louise1462,
Wow! How is everything going with the mountain bike park? Is it private, or is it part of a governmental project?
Looking forward to learning more about this exciting initiative!
Hi Paula, we're a private Mountain Bike Park in our 5th season. My son is a trail builder and we had a piece of land so it made sense to make the most of both. The reality is there is a lot of work with not so much return so adding accommodation makes sense.
We've also set up a charitiable trust to get kids on mountain bikes which is wonderful watching kids gain confidence in themselves.
Hi everyone! I’m Somia, a.k.a. Summer, and I’m so excited to join the Airbnb community!
I live between the vibrant cities of Geneva and Dubai, and I’m starting my hosting journey with a beautiful property in Dubai’s Old Town. I can’t wait to share the charm of this iconic location with travelers looking for a truly memorable stay.
A fun fact about me: I was born in Dubai and am a third-generation banker, but my passions extend beyond numbers. I’m an avid traveler who loves flying and scuba diving, always seeking new adventures both above and below the surface.
As a new host, I’m eager to meet incredible guests from around the world and connect with fellow hosts in this amazing community. Here’s to creating unforgettable experiences together!
Hello @Somia2, it is absolutely great to have you here.
I would like to invite you to share some tips with our wonderful community by starting a 👉New conversation here.
I am sure your expertise will greatly benefit many new Hosts 😊
Hello all, I'm new to hosting on Airbnb. My first guest was lovely, polite and civilized. However, I had a very bad experience with my second guests and Airbnb was not helpful in holding them accountable. Hence, I will be removing my listing from Airbnb soon.
Hope the rest of you are having a great time and hosting nice people.
