Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards🌻,
Elisa

Hello i am Russell from Australia and relatively new to AirBNB.
For the past 20 years i have run my 2 properties in Paris often remotely while working in my profession across Europe and Australia. These are not AirBNB properties.
Recently i took on 2 properties in Thailand which are up and running on AirBNB. As i was preparing to launch i got a lot of advice from an experienced AirBNB owner in the same complex ( many thanks Cory ). The experience with AirBNB is positive and i look forward to continuing. In the short time i have been on AirBNB i have used support to resolve a few issues.
In the same way i run my Paris places i aim to provide a high quality value experience as a host
Hello @Russ582 👋
Congratulations and a huge welcome to the Airbnb Community Center! It's great to have you here with us. You're in the right place if you need to ask our experience hosts any questions as you start your journey with Airbnb.
It's wonderful to hear that you had some help from another host already; you'll find lots more hosts like that here. For example, there are other new hosts just like you who are sharing their journey here > New Hosts: How Do You Feel About Starting Your Hosting Adventure?
Hi Everyone! Thank you for having me in the group. I’ve been with Airbnb about 7 months now. I’m from central GA but my husband, Paul and I own a condo in Perdido Key. We used 2 different management companies in the past and made the decision to do it ourselves. Wow! What a game changer. Love it!!! We’ve learned a lot and always continuing to learn. It’s great having a family of Airbnb hosts to help each other and grow together on this journey. Thanks again and looking forward to the group posts.

Hello!
I´m Vito Ortiz, an educational chef manager and entrepreneur. I´m also a snow bird and spend my summers between Washingon D.C. and Viña del Mar, Chile -my hometown-. I was one of the first Airbnb hosts in Chile many years ago. I am an avid cyclist and amateur cook. Now I have open my 102 year old home again hoping to host experiences involving food therapy in the near future. Would love to connect with people with similar interests. Cheers!
Hello @Vito533 👋
Congratulations on your return and a huge welcome to the Community Center! It's great to have you here with us.
How amazing to hear that you were one of the first hosts in Chile! Since you've come back, have you noticed any changes?
Fingers crossed for your food therapy experience; it sounds wonderful. WE'd love to hear more about your Experience as it grows and develops. Please come back and let us know how you're getting on. 😍

Hello: I am Dianne and pretty new to being an AirBnB host. Thus far I have rented 6 times with 5 five star reviews. This last rental was a disaster and I hesitate to leave a negative review, as I don't want a retaliatory negative review. However, I would NEVER recommend this guest to anyone. AirBnB has been giving me the run around as I try to claim damages (burned carpets, divots in the walls, burned leather sofa, etc.). Any advice?
Hello @Dianne389 👋
Wow! You're a new host and all the bookings have 5 stars, that's fantastic - well done! 😍
You've asked a great question here, but I think it would get more replies if it was a stand-alone thread. You can start a conversation here to ask the experienced hosts. 👈
Let me know when you've done it and we can tag some members into the conversation to share their advice and support. 😊
Hi everyone! 😊 I’m Junaid, excited to be part of this amazing community! I’m from Pakistan, and I absolutely love exploring the rich culture, history, and landscapes of my country. It’s great to see such a diverse group here, and I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you. Can’t wait to share and learn from each other’s experiences! 🙌
Hi @Muhammad572, welcome to the Community!
I’d love to hear more about your favorite places to explore! What’s one spot in Pakistan you think everyone should visit at least once? 🌍
If you're visiting Pakistan, Faisal Mosque in Islamabad is definitely worth exploring. The architecture is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere adds to its charm!
