apologies for this but I can't find the answer anywhere.
I have a guest enquiring about an Xmas booking that they want to make. They are rightly concerned that a future travel restriction may prevent them from visiting - currently things are ok.
They are asking if I will refund in full if they can't travel. I am reasonably happy to do this but will Airbnb charge me anything if I do?
TIA
Jon
If the reservation needs to be cancelled in future, it must be done by the guest ! The cancellation policy attached will then decide automatically about a refund (if any). You can manually provide more refund via the resolution centre, there are no charges, just use "sent money" option from the reservation. Offcourse you can not refund the Airbnb Guest Service fee, so it will never be a "full refund" for the guest.
Thanks. So even if the guest cancels, Airbnb will still take the service fee?
@Jon2712 Airbnb keeps the service fee they charged the guest, as that service is already rendered.
