My account that is associated with my phone number has been hacked.
The hacker changed the email and password within the account, so I can no longer log in due to not being able to go through the two-factor authentication. This also means I cannot get help from airbnb support–they are not accepting my call because they are only receiving calls for reservation requests or changes.
@Cheny7 How did you get two-factor authentication? I didn't realise it was an option. That said it clearly doesn't work very well if your account was accessed anyway.
I suggest you contact Airbnb via Twitter and see if they can help BUT its going to be hard as they will have no way of telling if you are truly the account holder or not. If you are a host it might be easier to prove you own the property but even then I envisage issues.
