 Hello

I would like to book this listing but have an off feeling about it. Not sure if it ia a scam or not. The host has joined since 2016 and yet this listing has no reviews. Does it just mean that this is a fairly new place? And why no reviews if she's been on 5+ years. Also she's not verified. Is that necessarily a bad sign? It does have a co host attached to the listing but even he only has 23 reviews since 2018. Should i steer clear from this listing?

@Marianne581 The screenshot doesn't help. Post the URL to the listing if you want people to take a look at it.

If the listing is new, it will say New on it.

There are plenty of people who have accounts dating back for years with no reviews- both hosts and guests. People join planning to take a trip and then never do, they had stays or guests who didn't bother to leave reviews- it doesn't mean it's a scam. And I've hosted since 2016 and never uploaded ID, and I can assure you I'm legit. I meant to, but never got around to it, and then just figured all my good guest reviews would be sufficient for a guest to feel confident about booking.

And why not send the host an Inquiry message and feel them out? I never quite understand why guests seem to think they just have to book a place, instead of communicating with the host first to see if you get a nice, prompt response, answering your questions.

BTW, you also have no reviews, no Govt. ID verified, and haven't bothered to write up anything about yourself in your profile. Which will make hosts wary of accepting you. It works both ways. Obviously if you're new to Airbnb you won't have any reviews yet, but at least write a nice little blurb about yourself in your profile.
