I am interested to find not how widespread this problem is. I have had an ongoing issue with Airbnb for 8 days now. They shut down the conversation without asking me if they have resolved the situation.
It's not the first time, and I am getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of support as a host. Some questions go answered for up to days at a time. When they do finally answer you are on the clock so if you don't respond straight away, they close the conversation.
Am I alone in this?
The general consensus on this forum is that customer service is abysmal but we are likely to hear 100 bad experiences before we hear 1 good one. So who knows?
The simplest solution is to learn to stop contacting support. You will find that many experienced hosts here contact them as an absolute last resort. What were some reasons you have contacted them in the past? Chances are you could probably resolve the issue/question with the guest, by asking this forum, or on your own.
Believe me if I can sort any issue I do so myself. Its a long protracted call/text using Airbnb support. I
