Short-term rental application process in Boulder County, Colorado

Hi Airbnb Community, we are new Hosts at our home in unincorporated Boulder County (i.e not in the City of Boulder), and we are wondering if any other Hosts here have been through the county Land Use Dept. approval process, which is required in order to rent for more than 14 days per year (yes, PER YEAR!).  Apparently we will need to submit a lengthy application and pay a non-refundable $750.00 application fee, which is not chickenfeed, so before we do that, we'd really appreciate any feed back from Hosts who have done that.  Any tips, do's and don'ts., etc. would be helpful.  Thanks, and Happy Hosting!

Hi Bob,

we will be going through the same thing but from what we read the fee is much lower. Maybe they changed some of the requirements? Did you ever get to complete the process? and if so, how long did it take for them to issue you a permit?
