First time on here. Thought I would discuss an issue I had with a rating.
A month ago we had a guest stay, upon their departure we received 5's in every category, HOWEVER the guest gave us an over all rating of 4. The overall rating is the one that effects your superhost status. I called AirBnB and explained that they might want to streamline their rating system by either having it as an over all rating without the categories or just the categories and then the average is taken from them.
Anyone else have an issue with this dual rating system?

I understand that if the guest didn't leave ratings in each category they default to 5. This may be what has happened in your case
The rating system needs works, for sure and what you experienced is a common occurrence. But it is also common to get 1 or 2 four stars in the subcategories and a 5 overall.
Personally, I don't think that overall experience is purely made up of cleanliness, accuracy, value, location, and communication.
