Transfer Listing

Transfer Listing

Good day, Air BnB!

2020 was certainly more than a challenge for everyone that everyone would just assume forget. Our situation here is even more challenging than we anticipated.

I am a co-host of a couple Air BnB listings with my wife and she passed away two days before Christmas. Our listings are how we supplement our income and I would like to continue hosting. Her mother and I have been dealing with a lot of paperwork on top of coping with this seemingly endless grief.

How do I transfer all transactions to my account?

  @Lizzie you have a lot of experience and knowledge, can you make any suggestions?

@Benjamin-Jara0 I am so sorry about your loss.

Transferring listings/accounts from one person to another is not allowed per Airbnb terms of service. However, I have heard of exceptions being made. I think you will have to call Airbnb customer support; it is definitely not something you can do on your own.

@Benjamin-Jara0,

You have my condolences for the loss of your wife.  As @Lisa723 stated, generally an Airbnb account cannot be transferred to another host.  I think the easiest way to continue hosting and still properly identify yourself is to add your name to your wife's account.  In my situation, my account lists Debra and Ronald as the first name of my account (we have the same last name).  This allows either of us to call into Airbnb and get assistance or make account decisions.  We also added his SSN info in the Tax ID section.
