Visa issues

We have booked a lovely flat which has strict cancelation policy. WE still haven't received our visas and are worried if we don't get them we'll lose our money. We've booked for 17 nights. Because of Coronavirus it's possible that our visa is denied; or for other reasons. What should we do?

You don't say where you are travelling but I guess you'll have to resign yourself to losing your money unless you have travel insurance that pays out for lack of visas. Just be happy that you are only losing 17 nights money - If all guests cancel your host will lose all of their revenue for the year. I assume you read the cancellation policy before booking?
