Recently have had several requests to book denied by Airbnb because guest does not meet community standards.
Whrn I contacted Airbnb they gave a curcumulicious answer with out giving an answer.
So their algorithm picks up suspicious data about a guest and blocks them from booking and I cannot override the block.
I requested that Airbnb at least give me a reasonable reason why a guest would be blocked.
Not, we can’t give you a reason because we must protect the guests privacy, but out algorithm picked up suspicious data and we have blocked them from your property because it is an entire place and there are indications they want to party.
What are your thoughts hosts.
Are you experiencing this?

Based on the answer you received, this was probably what triggered the block:
Again, had a very nice young girl with 5 great reviews and they still denied her booking my space.
no negative reviews.
and what is close to home?
50 miles? 100 miles?
@Angelyn1 I can't answer for the algorithm, I didn't program it. By many accounts, guests who don't appear to fit those criteria have been blocked by the filter.
@Angelyn1 The Airbnb algorithm is a mysterious beast. The guest with 5 great reviews just got caught in it's fickle net. There are ways around it if one is motivated and trusts the booking.
Please share info on ways around. My email is **

I wouldn't recommend going to any trouble to create workarounds for guests who have been blocked by Airbnb. It's entirely possible that their account has been limited for reasons that aren't apparent in their reviews, such as prior complaints of misconduct or outstanding damage claims. It's frustrating to lose a booking that seems on the up-and-up, but the cure may well be worse than the malaise on this one.
@Angelyn1 "curcumulicious"! What a great coinage; I love it. May I suggest "circumalicious" as a small tweak that perfectly captures the essence of many Airbnb CS messages? 😁
