Hello all,
I have concerns about letting people use my WiFi, as a first time host it has been brought to my attention by friends about what would happen if a guest did something illegal on my WiFi? Would I be protected? Is there some kind of waver form I can have them sign or agree too?
thank you in advance
I've been in contact with Airbnb over this specific issue (WiFi used for illegal downloading). Here was the relevant statement from their response:
As per our Terms of Service, we are excluded from liability with respect to loss of data or any related fines or fees, or incidental, special, or exemplary, or consequential losses of this nature. For more information regarding our Terms of Service, please see: https://www.airbnb.com/terms.

Not sure if this idea addresses your concerns, but we have a guest WiFi network with a separate password. These networks are relatively easy to set-up.
