guests details

Hi there,
Recently, my accountant told me that we have to ask our guest for passport no (if aborad) and Vat details (if Greek) for accounting purposes. I would like to know what if the guests decline? Are they obligated to give it? Have you encountered anything similar?

@Yongqun0 put the passport number requirement (at the point of booking)  in your house rules and cancel any guest who refuses to give it to you. When cancelling go through Airbnb and explain the guest is breaking the house rules. Not sure what VAT details a guest will have but add this to the rules as well if I were you.
