how does cancelling a non-refundable booking affect host status

hello,

I'm in The Netherlands in an area that has recently become a 'red zone' for Germany and Belgium (non-essential travel forbidden). we've had 5 or 6 bookings confirmed of which two were non-refundable. I'm inclined to give a full refund at this time based on the situation, however the only way to do this is by cancelling the booking myself. Does anyone know if this would affect my super host status in anyway?

your help and experience is much appreciated.

@Simonetta109 I am fairly sure the concept of the contract between you and the guest being frustrated exists under European law. If it does the the guests will be able to cancel and get full refunds no matter what the policy. Let me know if google in your country agrees with me.

To answer your actually question then your super host status will be affected if you cancel AND the dates will be blocked for future bookings AND there will be a nasty looking 'the host cancelled at xx notice' review left for you which does not go down well with potential guests
