Hello All- we are new hosts and wanted to find out how many of you take on extra insurance through your homeowners on top of what is provided by Airbnb?

When it comes to insurrance do not rely on what Airbnb is offering in the "Host Guarantee program" and have proper insurrance yourself:

I definitely carry home insurance.  You need to ask your broker to find a carrier who will cover short-term rentals.  Not all do.

@Joby-and-Bonnie0   You do not have insurance coverage under AirBnB.  You need your own policy, specifically covering your rental property, even if it is a room in your personal home.  Contact an independent agent and get some quotes.
