Hi, I'm after some advice from you lovely people please
I had a guest book for a 5 night stay as he was attending a wedding nearby.
He was nice enough when I met him, other than the fact that despite requesting directly to him and via Air BnB messaging to close the gate to stop my dog escaping he still left it open twice.
yesterday morning I got a message from him that he was checking out that day (a day early)
I've since received a message that he wants to alter the booking and I don't know whether to ignore it, decline it or accept it.
Given the state he left the accommodation in I'm not willing to accept it and allow him to get a refund for the night he didn't stay. I couldn't have re sold that night anyway as I didn't get the request until just before 5pm and its outside of my cancellation policy and he didnt mention it before.
there is a further issue that our policy is not to allow additional guests unless we've been advised in advance and there were people coming and going that we didn't know about.
so, what would you do?
thanks
J
@Jo719 Decline it.
Now that he's out, the issues with rule-breaking and unregistered guests are no longer things you can take action on, aside from mentioning them in your review.
thanks to you both, i wasnt sure if i should just ignore it but as youre both saying the same i will decline the amendment and give the feedback based on what state he left the accommodation in.
Cheers
J
