Airbnb Host Rules

Airbnb Host Rules

I'm a guest at an Airbnb and one of the hosts rules states that the ceiling fans are not listed as amenities and tells us to not use them, just use AC but the airflow is not.cool enough. The ceiling fans seem to work as one was accidentally turned on for a moment when we flipped on the switches for the light in a dark room.

Is not using the ceiling fans a reasonable request? Or i would libe an explanation from another host as to why they would want to not list them/tell us not to use them?

Hello @Katie1971

So the place you are staying at offers A/C and ceiling fans but you're not allowed to use the ceiling fans?  How odd.  Some people don't like A/C and prefer a more natural cooling mechanism.

Difficult to comment as a host but it could be a cost issue I suppose but unlikely.  The best solution I think would be to send a message to your host directly and ask them if you could use them as they are there and would improve the air flow and the quality of your stay.

Good luck!
