We currently have the issue that when a guest requests an alteration that doesn't involve an actual price change, the system backs out the taxes and refunds them to the guest. This is a pretty critical issue since it affects revenue and tax collection, but, as is usual with all bugs reported to the help phone line, they are completely ignored. For example, when a guest submits an alteration adding or removing a guest that doesn't involve a nightly rate change, the system will refund the guest the taxes.
We respectfully ask Airbnb to fix this problem as it pertains to revenue loss to the hosts.
