Being scammed

Anyone ever had a guest tell them their cc was blocked and can they get out some cash to loan them till they can reach their bank in their home country?

Nope, but that actually happened to me before. My credit card was blocked, and I simply called my bank to check what was going on. They were able to verify my account and restore the card right away.

So I would suggest advising the guest to contact their bank or credit card provider first, as it could simply be a security block or transaction issue. I wouldn’t recommend offering them a loan or lending them money.

I absolutely wouldn't do this for a guest .

I agree the guest should contact their bank to get their card unblocked .  

If not they can get their family to wire them money if this is true
