Booking enquire to book someone else

I have received an enquiry from a property manager if I will accept a booking for another guest. I am a bit wary as I have never received a request like this before. Can anyone assist?

My advice would be just say no. Nobody has any responsibility in that case. Your guest could be anyone, and they'll have impunity (Well, more impunity than guests already have on Airbnb anyway... )

What does the "property manager" profile and history look like? If both are empty, better to scare them off.

Otherwise, if the property manager has a long history of good reviews and solid profile, then you can at least discuss it. But be careful.

I have sometimes contacted a local host on behalf of a guest when I have not had the capacity to host their friends or extend their stay. It's not that strange. Two important things though:

1. As @Elaine701 says, check the property manager's profile to make sure it all looks legit.

2. The actual booking must come from the guest's account, not the property manager's. Just tell the latter to ask the guest to contact you directly (if you have availability for those dates).
