On September 3rd, something special happened in the coastal village of Vagator, Goa. Dozens of Airbnb hosts gathered together for the annual Goa Airbnb Host Community Meetup, an event I had the joy of organizing as both a host and community leader. What started a few years ago as a small circle of conversations has now grown into a vibrant forum where ideas, challenges, and stories flow freely.
This year’s meetup felt particularly meaningful. Under the swaying palms and tropical skies of Vagator, we came together not just as hosts running listings, but as a community building a shared culture of hospitality in Goa.
Why We Meet
Hosting on Airbnb can sometimes feel like a solo journey — welcoming guests, solving problems, creating memorable stays. But when we gather, we’re reminded that we’re all part of something bigger. The meetup is a space to exchange ideas, talk about the unique challenges of hosting in Goa, and learn from one another.

Looking Ahead
What inspires me most is how each year, the energy grows. Hosts are not only thinking about bookings and reviews but also about community impact:
Gratitude
As I stood in front of this incredible group, I felt deeply grateful. Grateful for the hosts who showed up, for the stories shared, and for the collective spirit that makes Goa’s Airbnb community so unique.
This meetup wasn’t just an event — it was a reminder of why we host. It’s about connection, community, and the belief that together, we can shape the future of hospitality in Goa.
Here’s to many more gatherings, stronger bonds, and an even brighter hosting community.

Hi @karan wonderful hosting and information sharing with Fellow hosts. You are a great leader 👍
Hi @Shelly159 soon we will be migrating from the host groups on FB to the “new host space” on the airbnb platform itself! Cant tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing how this pans out! At first look, it seems really cool!
This sounds like a wonderful and inspiring event @Karan173, thanks so much for sharing your insight with us. 😍
It looked like you had a full house there! How many hosts attended? And were they all from Goa, or did it include the surrounding areas too?
We had about 60 people attend - all hosts from Goa. Goa is geographically divided largely into North and South Goa- and happy to say we had a good representation from both.
