It’s been a little while since our last update, but we’re back and it’s time to welcome our newest Superhosts! Huge congratulations to all of you. It’s great to have you here in the Community Centre.

We know hosting can have its highs and lows, and no one has all the answers. That’s why this community space exists; to ask questions, swap ideas, and find a bit of support when you need it. No question is too small.

Thankyou for this amazing recognition. It did take some time but slowly my Airbnb bookings have grown and it's a great feeling to achive this. Superhost status. It brings back memories of discussions with other hosts from years back where we felt the achievement was just too tough to achieve.

@Elisa Yes ofcourse I could share more details, however I'm not sure if my specific case would be very helpful.

Anyhow, my first property was a hostel which was started around 5 years back. Even though it is a managed place which does well on other ota's it somehow never did well with Airbnb guests as the expectations didn't match, since guests most often weren't offered their own private space.

Last October we started a new property which is a bit more premium, it has a nice pool and good surroundings and it's more suitable for an Airbnb guest in my opinion. Even here it was slow in the begining with only the odd booking coming from Airbnb. Also we weren't reviewing many guests I often wanted to review guests who I met personally. I think a major milestone was when I did get a few ratings  which only happened about 3-4 months later. With the guest favorite tag being added to one listing we had done well recently with about 25 room nights from Airbnb last month( I think for the first 3 months we might have had around 5-8 bookings overall).  Hope this info helps and hope to get more bookings from Airbnb specially in this off season time.

I'm the kind of host who like to have my staff handle more of the guest relations and property operations. However if contacted by a guest I try to do my best to treat him with the highest priority.

Vielen Dank wir freuen uns riesig über diese Auszeichnung. 
Es bereitet so viel Freude wenn Gäste unsere Ferienwohnung im Walliserdorf geniessen, da wir leider nicht oft dort sein können und wir so unser lieber Ort mit anderen teilen können.

Vielen Dank an jeden einzelnen Gast, an die Reinigung und an alle die sich immer um das Chalet bemühen.

Thank you very much, we are very happy about this award.
It gives us so much pleasure when guests enjoy our vacation apartment in the Valais village, as unfortunately we can't be there often and so we can share our dear place with others.
