Conference cancellation-extenuating circumstances

Hi, 

My conference that has 11000 participants from hundreds of countries is cancelled because CDC changed the thread to level 3. This is the largest physics society and meeting. The organizers get recommendations from CDC everyday on this issue. 

Consequently, I canceled my reservation but I can not get full refund from Airbnb. 

This is an emergency situation and out-of my control. Airbnb says virus outbreak is one of these circumstances in their policy but does not refund when it is really happened. This is really frustrating. 

What kind of legal actions can we take for full refund?

Your cancellation is not covered by Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy because clearly a third party is cancelling NOT the host.

Just because a situation is out of your control doesn't mean you are entitled to a refund on Airbnb.

Why not claim on your travel insurance @Emrah8 ?
