Hi, I hope this makes it to the right place! My name is Kayli I’m looking to get into the Airbnb hosting business. I’d love to connect with some people and hear some stories of how you got started. Any advice or suggestions?
Hi @Kayli59
Great to hear from you and welcome to this world! It’s a really enjoyable space, and when you do it right, it’s incredibly rewarding.
From my own experience, I also started not long ago, and within just two months I became a Superhost. There’s no magic formula, but one thing truly makes the difference: the level of dedication you put into it.
In my case, I’ve been very detail-oriented from day one, spotless cleaning, fast and clear communication, everything working perfectly, and small touches that make guests feel genuinely welcome. People notice that, and they really appreciate it.
Because of that approach, I now have almost the entire year booked. It’s gone so well that I’ve already decided to invest in a second apartment in the same building.
If I had to give you one piece of advice: focus on the full guest experience, not just the place itself. From the first message to after check-out, every detail matters.
If you ever have questions along the way, I’m happy to help. You’ll see, it’s a really rewarding journey when you put your heart into it.
Regards,
Tommy
Thank you for taking the time to give such an amazing response. I’m looking into rental arbitrage. Do you have much experience with that?
Have you read the useful community guides here? If not that would be a good starting point for you. @Kayli59
Whats made you want to get into the short term rental business?
Just stopping by with the link to the Host guides that @Helen3 suggested. In particular, @Joan2709's Guide for new hosts might be particularly helpful @Kayli59.
