We live in Wales and are unable to accept bookings from outside Wales. A guest has instant booked and his profile indicates he's from England. We asked him for and got verbal confirmation he's not from England but we're not convinced. Airbnb help desk just says the responsibility is on us to ask for id on arrival. Has anyone experience of same? Any suggestions? We think Airbnb should add for the duration of covid related travel restrictions a prerequisite that any prospective guest will be required to provide hosts with id including country of residence.
@Alan295 If he is adamant he s from Wales then ask him if he would produce his driving licence on arrival. If he is not willing to do so I would ask Airbnb to cancel him.
