Hi everyone 👋
We’re almost at the end of another hosting year, and I thought it would be fun to reflect on how it’s been for you.
If you had to describe your 2025 as a host in just one word, what would it be?
Whatever your word, I’d love it if you could share it below and tell me a little about why you chose it.
I can’t wait to read your words and stories. ✨
@Rebecca my word would be "Enriched"
The word comes to me through our Guests who cross our doorstep and we are able to Share our home with them. Each giving Joy to one another. When the opportunity arises it is sharing information stories and tips of our neighbourhood and where our Guests live and where they are travelling too.
Hi @Laurelle3!
@Alex you have written 2023 a lot has moved since then.
2025 we Were "enriched" with our Guests.
We will be travelling a little bit next year. So I hope to meet Airbnb Hosts when we stay in their accommodation. The sad thing is when you book a place you don't know if the property is managed by the Host or a property manager.
This is a flaw with the system and as Community Leader we are asking that the listing is defined when we book

Hi @Jay2697,
Devoted 💫
Hi @Bec3748 😊,
It’s so nice to read how passionate you are!
How long have you been hosting so far?

In one word: Delicious!
Hi @Adham20 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
In what way has this year been delicious for you?
-----
'Rollercoaster' - Here in the Philippines islands we had the unfortunate situation of suffering multiple earthquakes, typhoons, and tropical storms resulting in thousands of local deaths, property damage, and general chaos. The uncertainty and devastation to local infrastructure crippled business in the region (Cebu, Region VII) and we are still recovering with internet restored last week.
Our property in the City was spared from damage being a sub-penthouse apartment high above the flooding in the streets. Our place in the province however required a major cleanup with a few inches of mud across nearly everything.
I'm looking forward to reading some less intense recounts of the past year from other owners for some minimal assurance that not everything is turbulent in the world. UK weather is generally benign.
Hi @Allan489 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here.
I heard about the situation in the Philippines, and I’m really sorry about it.
How did you manage the cleaning at your second property? Did you hire someone?
-----
Hi @Elisa , it was a community effort with the neighbors searching for missing roof panels and help from the residents. Everyone was in the same situation so people helped out as much as they could. My wife was mostly coordinating it however we did have to hire someone to clean the drainage and septic tank, also for tree removal for mostly fallen banana trees. They grow back quickly and the people are resilient here.
Exhilarating
Hi @Amanda2723 😊,
Thank you for participating here.
That sounds fun! What has been the most exhilarating moment while hosting this year for you?

@Elisa I love the feeling of waiting for guests to arrive and wondering what they will be like and what they will think of my accommodation
I love putting guests at ease and going that extra mile to make their stay really special
