Does Superhost Relief Fund really exists?
I was wondering if Superhost Relief Fund really exists/ed: does anyone know anyone who received it?
Airbnb answered me that THERE WASN'T ANY WAY TO APPLY FOR IT AND NO WAY TO CONTACT WITH THE "SELECTORS TEAM", so how could these team have evaluated Superhost level of necessity? I've lost 100% of my incomes, beeing Airbnb my only livehood... how could they know it if I wasn't allowed to contact them? Announcement sounded to me like the typical company "reputation campaign" but I started doubting so:
Have you been selected to receive it? do you know anyone who has been selected?
thanks in advance for any information

@Laura687 Yes, several hosts have reported receiving grants. Airbnb looked at first, how long a host had been a Superhost- priority was given to those who had held that status for 4-5 years. Then they looked at the percentage of income lost between this time last year and this year. Then the hosts invited were asked to fill out a questionnaire which further determined who needed it the most.
However, it is true that the announcement of these grants was very misleading. It mentioned nothing about being a Superhost for 4-5 years, it said 1 year. And it said it would be based on need, which is also false- you can't determine need based on the percentage of income lost between this year and last. A host with 3 children to feed and a hefty mortgage to pay and no other job is obviously more in need than a host with no dependents, a paid-off property and another income -producing job.
So yes, grants were given, but not on the basis that they had led hosts to believe.
I certainly didn't get an invite.
