Found cockroaches after 24 hours

I booked a place July 27-aug 25 

The first day was fine but found cockroaches second day morning

dead one in freezer too!!! 

contacted host he sprayed some bug powder

The next day even more cockroaches came!
One even almost fell on my head from the ceiling I screamed 

another was crawling on my towel!!!

I left the place ASAP the 3rd day

now Airbnb told me it’s past their 24 hour policy and it’s at the hosts discretion?

Your reservation has a cancellation policy attached, which calculates the refund (if any) when you cancel the reservation.

If there is a "travel issue" it must be reported to host and/or Airbnb within time limits, which procedures are described here:

IMHO Airbnb stating:

" it’s past their 24 hour policy and it’s at the hosts discretion? "

seems to me not correct, if you have followed all procedures correctly as mentioned in the link above.

nope. LOL airbnb said i reported this too late! (i reported on 3rd day) i found cockroach 2nd day and told host. 

now, airbnb is telling me, the host will refund me only if he can make new reservations

LOL this has to be illegal at some point people need to know this

doesnt make any sense
