Imagine you go online to your local grocery store and place an order to pickup groceries. You pay for your order and you have an hour to add anything you have might have forgotten. You realize that you do need additional items, so you add them and you are charged not only for the items you added, but an addition $2 per item that you already paid for.  Am I the only that is baffled by this??  If you have already paid for something, how can the seller come back and decide they want to charge more for something that you have paid in full.  I’m so confused and I’m out almost $700 plus a second cleaning fee of $125.

@Lisa6904 How bizarre. It sounds like you have created a second booking rather than extending the first (hence the 2nd cleaning fee). Alternatively the host has just taken advantage of your situation. If the booking is more than 2 weeks out I would have taken advantage of the 48 hr free cancellation period.

Not sure we can do anything other than sympathise with you but feel free to provide more info if you think it would help.
