Hello everyone, my name is Kia (pronounced KI’ah). I’m from MD closer to Washington, DC and Northern VA. I enjoy simple things, baking a little bit, walking across the Woodrow Wilson bridge or other scenic areas. I’m a mom and have a few grands that I adore! I’m not on Facebook or IG.
After remodeling my home that flooded while traveling abroad last year, I decided to start hosting and never moved back in. I miss it and every time I walk into it now, I love it more and more that I’m able to share it with others who choose us to host them.
Hi @Kia780 😊,
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful introduction here.
I’m sorry to hear about your home, but your resilience is impressive.
What do you usually bake? Have you connected with any hosts from your area recently?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello, Elisa!
I make anything sweet potato. Pies, empanadas, cornbread, tarts and cakes.
I stayed at an Airbnb last year for 6 months and my host and I became friends. I actually spoke to her regarding a meet up with other hosts in the area on her farm. But she’s the only person.
Hi @Kia780 😊,
I love your cooking style, really tasty things!
That’s such a nice story, thank you for sharing.
