Hello, my name is Adel. I am a veterinarian doctor and a general surgeon specialist. I live in Izmir Konak Alsancak, Türkiye. I have my own apartment on the coast. I spend the reservation money I get from the Airbnb application on stray animals. I treat them and adopt them. I have no material expectations from the world.
Hello @Adel2330!
Hello @Alex . I have been helping animals since I was little. I especially wanted to be a veterinarian. and I achieved that. unfortunately, legal decisions were made in Türkiye to euthanize stray animals. we did our best to protest that decision but we could not get any results. I don't remember the number of stray animals I have rescued from shelters...I am specifically opening my house to the Airbnb application because I am providing a service to cover the costs of medical drug transfer and temporary shelter walkers. The location of my house is very beautiful, it is one street away from the beach. All shopping malls, art streets, breakfast houses, restaurants, barbecue houses, bars, cafes, everything is within 10 steps walking distance from the apartment. The ferry, metro, tram are within 150 meters and 400 meters walking distance from everywhere. Especially for the location, even if guests prefer my house, I still made the rooms like hotel rooms. I bought full orthopedic beds, a study desk, a vanity mirror, and wooden hanger systems. I'm not a person who is obsessed with cleanliness and hygiene, but I still like to see my house clean. We hear that some host turn the sheets inside out without washing them and present them to the new guest. But I have the room cleaned again for the new guest after each departure and I specifically instruct the cleaner to change the sheets. I also check the rooms myself. I do not find it ethical or right to do to someone else what I do not want done to me...
@Adel2330 . Welcome Adel. My daughter in law is a vet nurse and I agree its a hard gig at times. They live with us and her adopted blind-in-one eye and other eye fading sight cat who is 12 but still remarkably agile. I think she would bring home more pets if she could.
Years ago a friend who is a vet surgeon, talked about the green dream. He has a pretty twisted sense of humour but I can now understand it takes a special person to do this work. Thank you.
