How does ID verification work

My husban and I use the same airBNB account. I don't have a credit card but he does. When we book we obviously use his. 
I got asked for the first time for a verification ID. So do I put his ID because it's his credit card or mine because it's my account?
So comfusing!!!!

@Joelle217  I see you have a profile, with an already uploaded ID.  I take it that's the account you use when you and your hubby book? If Airbnb wants that ID verified, then just go ahead and do it. Don't change anything unless you're asked to.
