Hello, my name is Lora Gaskill, thank you for introducing yourselves.
I recently hopped onto Airbnb as a co-host. I have worked in the tourism/vacation rental biz since 1987. As a co host I am helping a family organize their home to attract and offer a great guest experience. I manage vacation properties for homeowners in Red Feather Lakes Colorado and the Northern Front Range of Colorado. We also have a vacation rental of our own in Loveland Colorado. I have it listed with Evolve. As I do enjoy the fact they are a great moderator when bad situations arise, I am not completely happy with the amount of bookings we receive until recently where we have received two extended stay reservations. I am a bit timid of taking the AirBnB plunge myself as I do not like having confrontation with unhappy or disrespectful guests. I need to have a platform that is homeowner supportive. Over the years I have seen many homes damaged by irresponsible guest stays. Along with being a seasoned vacation rental specialist, I am also newly married (3 years) I have 4 wonderful children from my late husband, and two exceptional step children. My husband and I enjoy off roading our Jeeps and Classic Broncos and do many camping trips when we can in-between caring for other homeowners properties. Within our business, we also refinish log cabins and decks so that they last for years to come!
