Hi everyone! 👋

I’m thrilled to be joining this community! Like Margaret and so many others, I’m really excited about the rollout of these local host clubs.

I am a host based in Padra, Vadodara, INDIA, where I have been proudly running Mehta Cottage for the last 7 years. Over nearly a decade of hosting, I've loved seeing how the hospitality scene in Gujarat ( India ) has grown!

We frequently welcome both families looking for a relaxing getaway, Long distance travellers with Pets and business travelers visiting the nearby industrial hubs. I absolutely love sharing our local culture, food recommendations, and hospitality with guests from all over the world, but I also know that hosting comes with its own unique local rewards and challenges.

I joined this club to:

• Connect with fellow hosts nearby to share tips and experiences.
• Learn best practices for managing listings and guest expectations in our region.
• Stay updated on local regulations and community initiatives.

Thanks, @Quincy ! I wouldn’t say I have any special hosting hack. 😊

After 7 years at Mehta Cottage, I’ve found that building relationships and being responsive makes the biggest difference. I was a Business Development Manager in the corporate world, where relationships were always important for business—and I’ve found the same principle works very well in hosting.

Treat guests well, understand their needs, and stay connected. The rest usually follows!
