Miss Information about Airbnb

I was part of a trio that booked a Airbnb at the Riad Marigold in Marrakesh hosted by Pierrre Et Laura, the advertising was totally misleading the pictures also.  We were in complete shock when the driver pulled up to the address.  We felt unsafe as we were three females traveling together. After walking through alleys, dogs and cats running and children begging for money and us dragging our suitcases walking for about 7 minutes to get to the house, we decided that we were not safe.  Host is refusing to come to an agreement even to refund part of our money.  Safety and wellbeing of guests should be the priority of Airbnb.  We will be taking further action.

Hello @Ilene320

Having been to Marrakesh I would say most Riads are in similar areas and begging is quite common on the streets along with stray dogs and cats.

But if you can demonstrate the photos are misleading and you can show the property isn't as advertised ie missing amenities you would have a case for asking Airbnb to cancel .

Normally if you want a refund you would firstly need to talk to the host and if you can't agree you would need to involve Airbnb.

if you left the property without an agreement to refund either via the host or Airbnb it will be more challenging to be able to request a refund after the fact .

can you explain a bit more about how the photographs are misleading ?
