I was under the impression they were phasing out "Superhost"?

I lost Superhost status in the first quarter of 2025 due to a lack of Airbnb bookings (I had only bookings from other platforms and a few direct in that quarter so I didn't qualify).

Since then, I've been steadily booked on Airbnb with only 5 star reviews, but I've never been given Superhost status again. No explanation given. But it doesn't seem to have affected bookings. 

I presumed they were just phasing it out in favour of "guest favourite".

Superhost badge doesn't really matter if your listing has the Guest Favorite badge. But if it doesn't, then the Superhost badge REALLY matters. The guest doesn't really care which badge your listing has, only that it has a badge. I doubt they can tell the difference tbh. 

But yes, your experience affirms the reality that Superhost badge is much less important than before.

I mean, like when I'm in guest mode, and I'm looking up properties on Airbnb - I find myself STRONGLY preferring properties that either have the Guest Favorite or Superhost badge. A listing that has neither brings up red flags for me internally. 

Whereas I can book with relative confidence if a listing has one or the other badge.
