Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards🌻,
Elisa

Hi @Lesley571 👋
You’ve got loads of hosting experience under your belt from the sounds of it. Going full time must’ve been a big change, how have you found that shift so far? Got any favourite spots from your travels? 😍
Hi hosts! I’m Gernide with GeGe Palace Group. I manage several STRs and love helping owners with guest messages, check-ins, and smooth turnovers.
I’m available to co-host in Jacksonville, Palm Bay, and Melbourne. If you ever need a helping hand, I’d love to support you!

Hi there @Rebecca ! 😊
I actually started my hosting journey with my own investment property in mid-October 2024, and by early 2025 I expanded and leased two additional properties that I now host/co-host as well. It’s been a great learning curve, especially growing from just one home to managing multiple spaces.
Excited to keep sharing tips and learning from everyone here too!
You've got great experiences @Gernide0 and I've already seen some of your great comments, sharing your experiences. 😊
Hopefully we'll see you around more!
Hello I’m from Long Island I just joined Airbnb for first time as a host and my property is being taken off because previous owners weren’t hosting properly. Super upset about what’s happening with me I need some admin help.
Hi @Sadiya3 👋
I'm Angela, just bought a furnished fourplex and new to hosting out in rural Western Nebraska!
Oh that's great @Angela4612 😊 I bet you have a lot of local information you can share with your guests. Do you have a favourite place to recommend?
Hey fellow hosts,
I'm Uta from Berlin / Germany and new to Airbnb hosting.
We have freshly renovated our garden flat and have had the first bookings and very positive feedback. But it's been quite intense first few weeks of trying to make everything perfect for the guest while hoping and praying that the guests will treats your expensivley refurbished accommodation with respect.
We are located next to a woodland with a big pond in it, but the full beautiness of the space will show up in spring when everything starts to grow and the guests can use the terrace/ garden.
I'm glad that this community exists to learn from all the other experienced hosts.
Greetings from Berlin!
Uta
Hi @Uta575 😊,
Welcome to the Community Center, and thank you for sharing this lovely introduction.
Your place is beautiful, truly! 😍
How did you manage to make everything look so perfect?
Are you already getting your first bookings?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi my name is Quincy, my fiance and I have just opened our home to hosting on Airbnb. We have offically had our first 2 guest stay and we now have a total of 4 guest booked. Is there any tips any host out there can give for first timers? We've ran into minor issues but fixed them with ease, what can someone just coming into the hosting business expect from guest. Give us the good and bad 🙂 We have a 2bedroom 1.5 bathroom townhome in Maryland with a furnitured backyard, fully stock kitchen, and W/D available for use.
Hi @Quincy34 😊,
Welcome to the Community Center!
Congratulations on this new beginning. 🎉
I’m glad to hear you’re already getting new bookings and that you could solve the small issue easily!
