Please help

Hi, i am writing for any type of help. I purchased a home on September 19th 2025 from a couple who rented it out on Airbnb. They were told to delete there account and the house associated with it which they did and so i created my account. Everything was good, we had almost the entire month of October booked with only 5 star reviews and all of a sudden Airbnb suspended my account because of the previous owner violating some type of guideline or something. Now i have this house bought to rent out and now i can’t rent it on the platform i need too. Can anyone help?

Hi @Vlada38

Congratulations on your recent house purchase!

As we don't have access to your account here, it might be better to speak directly with the Support team to find what the best way forward is. Have you tried to reach out to them, and if so what did they say?

Thanks,

Emilie

Yes i appealed the matter twice because they told me at first it was a duplicate listing made by the previous owner and then they told me randomly it was because the previous owner violated guidelines or something that had to do with this address. My listing only has 5 star reviews.

@Vlada38

Unfortunately, buyers of property previously listed on Airbnb must ensure the previous owner has no violations or listing issues with Airbnb. This is because of Airbnb's new Circumvention Policy. Although the policy broadly states a "user" may not create a duplicate listing to avoid previous listing issues, they are not making a distinction between a previous Owner and the new Owner and will suspend the new listing:

At this point, you can list on other platforms, convert to mid or long term renting, or sell the property. You of course must disclose to any buyer the issue with listing on Airbnb (should they want to do that).

You can also seek compensation from the seller for failure to disclose the property's listing issues with Airbnb.

So i will never be able to list my property ever again on Airbnb because the previous owners might of violated something? Yes it was never disclosed to us when selling the property because i saw there Airbnb account and there reviews were decent but not horrible and the account was actively gaining bookings a week before we put in an offer. That’s why I’m so confused and i am looking for an attorney to file legal paper work against Airbnb and the previous owners due to this. Thank you for your help!
