Property communal fees overcharge

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar experience with their complex management. In my case, the management is charging more than double the usual communal fees because I rent my property on Airbnb.

I find this somewhat unusual, particularly as short-term rental properties are generally occupied for fewer days than properties that are occupied year-round. They did not provide a justification, rather than a simple 'you earn more, so you should pay more'.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, or do these additional charges make sense to anyone else?

@Stavros67 Surely you have a contract with your community. Does this allow them to charge more?

The management held a meeting and passed a vote approving this additional charge, so I suppose they are legally covered.

However, it still doesn’t make much sense to me from a practical standpoint. A property that is occupied for a shorter period of time would presumably have a lower impact than one where someone lives year-round.

@Stavros67 I would be studying my contract closely to see if this is allowed. It feels like discrimination to me
