Ruined blanket

Ruined blanket

What do you do if the guest has ruined a blanket?

I first assess whether the blanket can be restored with a deep clean. If it can, I have it professionally cleaned. If the damage is permanent or the blanket is no longer hygienic or usable, I have no option but to dispose of it. In such cases, I politely request the guest to reimburse the replacement cost.

Normally I dont get the reimbursement for the damage.  That is the cost of doing business.

I'd do my best to clean and launder it, depending on what the damage is. Is it a stain? A tear? A burn? If it is beyond salvage, I'd replace it. Damaged bedding and towels are cost of doing business. Our animal shelter takes blankets and towels for the animals.
