Security deposits

I'm a host.  Why doesn't Airbnb charge a security deposit to the guest? I've had a number of situations where I was left out in the cold.  I don't have these issues with other platforms that support a security charge.

@Lily6 charging a security deposit puts guests off from booking and so reduces Airbnb revenues. Far better to leave the hosts to bear any losses.
