Hi Community,
My reservation has been cancelled due to coronavirus outbrake. Middle of March - Venice.
I get full refund of the cost of accomodation. However, host asked me to transfer 24 € of a tourist tax. I did that few weeks ago. I did not received this money from refund.
I tried to contact with the host but there is no response. I also contacted with support and they recommend to use Resolution Center. I am not able to get refund this way because following message appears: "can't request money. You don't have any elligible reservations to request money from right now".
I get information that someone will come back to me. No one responded from about 1 week. I know that airbnb have a hard situation right now.
Please let me know about your advise or thoughts.
Best regards,
Szymon
I did not call them, I contacted via chat. No response since last week. I am not able to find phone number too. 😕
@Szymon9 As a now infamous politician in the UK said recently: 'Get a life'
You have got most of your money refunded. Its only 24 euros that is missing and I am sure everyone has bigger things to worry about. Worst case you can claim it on your travel insurance.
I posted and described my issue to get some kind of advise. @Mike-And-Jane0 your advise is worthless. I do not see any reasons why I should just let go and not claim for my money. So, please do not repost any responses here anymore.
You asked for advice or thoughts - I gave both. Why is my advice to 'get a life' worthless. You may not agree with it but at least its advice.
