UK tier 3 from 30th December

UK tier 3 from 30th December

I host a self contained cottage in North Yorkshire and have guests currently staying that arrived 28th December that are due to leave 2nd January.
Following the tier changes announced yesterday, should I tell my guests to leave or should they stay until 2nd as planned?

I’ve tried to find the guidance for this situation but everything related to future bookings rather than guests that are already there. All help would be much appreciated!

@Rebecca300 Tier 3 exception (one of many) to the no hosting rule is

to provide accommodation for any person who was staying in that accommodation immediately before these Regulations came into force or (if later) immediately before the time when the area in which the accommodation is located became part of the Tier 3 area,

so I believe you can let the guest finish their stay.

Google tier 3 legislation and you will find the whole text.

Thank you for your help. I did eventually find this information but your feedback is very kind.
