Vomit and urine left by guests

Hello, all.
I have been a host for four years with a cabin and just added two more this past year. Never in this time have I had a guest leave bodily fluids all over both rooms of my place. I expect to sometimes find vomit around the toilet area after a night around the campfire, I guess. This time I arrived to walk in to an acrid smell, and my bed all turned around backwards and upside down, so I investigated. I found vomit all up the walls and the bed flipped because they had puked all over down the side of it. It also covered the floor under the bed. Then, I go to the other bedroom and realize there was pee all over the carpet.  No pet was registered or approved, so I’m hoping this was urine from a toddler, possibly? I’d love to have your opinion on what you would do besides marking them down on cleanliness and how you would write a review without making yourself look unprofessional as a host. I’m also not sure if I should charge them extra, even though I had to rent a carpet shampooer in order to get it ready for the next guest.
Thanks so much in advance,

Rachel

I would absolutely charge the guests for any additional cleaning and leave them a one star review @Rachel2991

Of course there is a risk they may leave you a retaliatory review .

do share photos with the guest when you submit the request .

under Aircover you will need an invoice for any additional cleaning

Hello, @Helen3.

Thank you for your wise advice. Can I leave the review for them first then wait until they’ve left one for me to submit the extra charge to them afterward via the resolution center? If I have to submit the charge first, I’d really need to think deeply about whether a bad review is worth that, or not.

Its good to know that I’m not being unreasonable about the disgusting and time consuming mess they left.
