Something I’ve noticed from the conversations in this community, is how every home seems to have one feature that really makes it stand out. It’s not always the biggest or most obvious thing, but often the detail that gives a space its character and makes it feel unique.
My favourite feature of my own home, is my bright, buttercup yellow front door, with a stained glass sunrise. 💛
I’d love for you to share what that is for your own place. In your opinion, what do you see as the “star” of your home? And just as importantly, what’s the story behind it and why does it feel so special to you?
Our house is small, so we focused on making it as beautiful and relaxing as possible. All of our guests comment on the colors and overall feel of our little house.
I just took a sneak peak at your listing and immediately it looks calm and restful @Amy3553. I think that's definitely down to the soft tonal colours. Do you have a mixture of different types of travellers/guests come to stay with you?
Our house is in the mountain area in Norway.
I think our customers who are mainly from France/Holland/Germany/Belgium REALLY value the view from the windows, the coolness and the quietness outside along with the many possibilities for skiing and trekking locally.
They normally also LOVE the light, Scandinavian interior - the walls, floors, ceilings and furniture

I can see why @Arne-Marius0 - the view is stunning. I could just imagine myself sitting there for hours watching the weather roll in! What time of year are these photos taken? I can see in one that there is more snow on the ground that others.
Full moon in Venice from our hot tub!
Buongiorno @Rebecca!
Thanks for the assist! I can't fail to mention our hot tub in our garden in Venice's historic center. Here during a winter full moon night.
As far as I know it isthe only outdoor hot tub in Venice!
Andrea
Buongiorno @Andrea6232
Lovely to see your name pop up! Your hot tub is beautiful!
Have you done a search for hot tubs in Venice?
So you might truly be the only outdoor hot tub in Venice 🎉
How are you? Last time we spoke you'd had some slow bookings, is this still the case?
Hi @Rebecca Mountains, Parroquia, and town from our rooftop: Thanks for asking. As you can see, our home is a guest favorite. Guests say the standout feature is the rooftop garden with its spectacular views, happy plants, and spaces for enjoying the outdoors in sun or shade. It's 360 degrees but west facing, so the sunsets are thrilling. And the icon of San Miguel, the Parroquia, is right in front of you. It's lovely in the cool mornings for coffee and breakfast. It's lovely in the evening when the monuments are lit. It's breathtaking when the town celebrates with fireworks. Thanks for asking!
A favorite time is in the morning, when the sun is behind you, and the air is cool and clear. Great for coffee. Another favorite time is sunset, perhaps with a margarita, watching the sun go down. It can be warm during the day, but the guests enjoy the shade. Many have dinner at the table upstairs or enjoy a drink in the evening when the lights of town come on.
@Jay2879 - Morning coffee with that clear air must be nice, and sunsets with a margarita don’t sound bad at all 😉
It sounds perfect to me! Are those mountains or hills in the background of the picture?
Those are mountains, @Rebecca . San Miguel is high desert. One mile high. Cool and dry air year round.
