When does being a Superhost stop feeling super?

I’ve been hosting for several years, and lately I’ve been thinking… does the Superhost badge even feel super anymore?

Guests barely notice it, Airbnb gives it little reward, and yet we all chase it every quarter — sweating over every 4-star review like it’s the end of the world.

I remember when being a Superhost felt like a real badge of honor: proof of all the love, effort, and sleepless nights we put into creating a great experience. Now? Sometimes it feels more like a tiny digital leash.

So, fellow hosts — do you still feel “super” when you see that badge, or has it just become another checkbox on our to-do list?

The "guest favorite" stamp on listing results when searching AND when looking at a listing is IMO much more effective.

It gives me better feeling then the small superhost-medal.

The Superhost badge is not even displayed on results when searching.

It's value has been decreased over time. But the bonus coupon received after a year is still nice !

HI @Oksana127  - well said!

"tiny digital leash" - so perfect.

After about 5 years of a steady stream of reservations via AIRBNB we will lose our superhost next quarter. And probably not be able to regain given this trend that we've been unable to reverse. We get bookings elsewhere we just can't seem to land anything here. And so we've been unleasehed ;).

Thank you for the remarks!
