Where would we be without humour!

I met my wife Ade in 1969, we started dating and when we got serious I made her a promise…..

I said to her, “I will never hold onto an argument longer than I can hold onto a f*rt”!!

Many times over the years we have put that statement to the test. When one or the other of us gets a bit tetchy over something and we seem to reach that impasse, I (or she) will say….”F*rt time?”….we have a little chuckle, realise that molehills are far more prolific than mountains…….. and we get on with life!

I won’t say humour has saved our relationship but, it has saved us from many uncomfortable silences.

I love this @Robin4 - "it's f*rt time" made me giggle a lot!

Life's too short to hold onto negativity, and this is a great reminder that sometimes we do just have to concede that "it's f*rt time" and let it go.
