Why is there a gray flag next to new guest's message in my inbox?

@Betsy177 That flag is what you click if you wish to report the person to Airbnb. From there you can also elect to block them.

Who puts that gray flag there? The potential guest or Airbnb?

@Marti-and-Fred0  It's always there in all messages. It's a feature Airbnb has so you can report a message if you think you're being scammed, the guest is trying to get you to book off-platform, or someone is threatening you or sending profane messages, etc.

Why would a guest want to give you a way to report them ?
