Hello everyone! I've decided to post this here as I have been getting little clarification from the original avenues that wer...
Hi, we have 2 ensuite rooms, but airbnb does not allow 2 different parties to book. is this true?
@Philippa85 I dont know if Airbnb is that clever BUT if the two rooms are in your house then it would be unlawful for you to rent both out unless it was to one family
I've looked at your lovely listing, & think the problem might be how you've set it up - listed it as ONE listing for up to 4.
If you wanted to list one room to one couple & the other room to another party, then you would need TWO listings, one for each room! (That's what I do with my 3 rooms.)
Tho' as @Mike-And-Jane0 say, our government is only allowing two households under one roof at present, is it not? - That's the law I apply to my own set up with a shared bathroom. BUT, your two rooms are both ensuite... So I guess that might put you in the same position as hotels & B&Bs which ARE allowed to let multiple rooms? (I didn't dive in here to moralise on that, just to say that listing your rooms separately would allow unrelated folk to book.- And you could still keep a listing as it is for when 3 or 4 people - or 2 - from one group need 2 rooms.)
...Does anybody know if calendars can be linked, so that if Rooms AB were booked as one booking, someone could not separately book A or B alone, resulting in double booking? Or do hosts have to hover over their devices all day & block manually???
@Helen350 Yes, you can link them. Go to Listing -> Availability, then scroll all the way down to "Linked Airbnb calendars." Click "Create linked calendars" and then you'll be able to "Choose a listing that contains your other listings."
Here is the link to Airbnb's directions for linking calendars: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1864/how-do-i-link-airbnb-calendars-for-multiple-listings.
